In my years at Saatchi & Saatchi, I helped create almost a hundred spots for Toyota and Lexus. But this one is still very special to me. We created it to celebrate Toyota's sponsorship of Sydney's glorious outdoor cinema. So, I wrote it to feel more like a European movie, and less like an Australian car ad. To my knowledge, it's the first time the film audience clapped at the end of the ads. Cannes Lions aside, that's still the best award I could ever dream of.
